About Brent

Brent Heighton has been painting professionally for over forty years.  After college Brent had a brief career in the commercial arts. Faced with deadlines and the pressures of satisfying clients, Brent soon realized that business was restricting his creative freedom. Instead he decided to follow his heart and pursue a career in the fine arts. It was the most important and satisfying decision of Brent’s life.  

Working as a full-time artist has allowed Brent to travel the world in search of ideas and inspiration. “I found that even the difference of light in a place like Greece compared to Cornwall, was very intriguing and exciting.” says Brent.

Brent had a home in Mexico and visited frequently. The architecture, people, and quality of light entices him. "Mexico helps to get the creative juices flowing. I love the color, I love the light, "He says.

Brent's watercolors and oils have been well received by corporate and private collectors worldwide. Brent has exhibited in Tokyo, Germany, Belgium, Holland, New York and other parts of North America including Cabo San Lucas and the California Baja, Mexico. His work has earned him numerous awards throughout North America.

Driven by a desire to explore new ideas and approaches to painting, Brent is always looking for new creative outlets. He has worked with many major publishers around the world over the years and continues to do so. Brent's work has been featured in many tv shows and movies as well.

Brent Heighton's art continues to grow pushing the boundaries of his powerful imagination. From the beginning, his career has been a voyage of creative discovery, with new frontiers waiting around every corner.
